I moved out ten days ago. Ten days ago I moved into a duplex with my best friend. And who knew... who knew that being an adult is not all it's cracked up to be. That there are times... that it sucks.
Like when your basement floods.
Or a repairman breaks something.
Or you have a bill due.
Especially that last one!
It's also an adventure. A stressful, wonderful adventure. The boxes I brought with me are unpacked. My room is set up. The kitchen is functional. The living room just needs a few pictures hung up.
And while there have been disasters, when aren't there disasters, it's becoming home.
How often in life do we give up after that first set back? Or the third? Or the fourth? How often do we hold on? Hang in there? See it through?
When you do. When you tie a knot on the end of that rope and hang on... it can be a wonderful thing. You just need to give it a chance!
