Wordy Wednesday

Wednesdays can be busy days.  Between work, school, church, and other commitments we are short on time.  It is on these days that here at The Sunset Won't I share a short passage, quote or lyric.  Something that I connect with, was inspired by or just feel a need to share.

Today's quote is from the show Master Class with an episode in which Diane Sawyer shares something she learned from an interview:

A criticism is just a really bad way of making a request.
So why don't you just make the request?
Why don't you just say could we work out this thing that makes me feel this way?
Do you think we could work it out, instead of criticizing.

Happy Wednesday!

  1. Good one, Heather! A few weeks ago, I saw this on a billboard (an electronic one) outside a school that read: Parents need to be cheerleaders, too, not just critics.
