Happy Secret Challenge: Day 21 and 22!

I am creating/participating in a Happy Secret Challenge inspired by a TED video I recently watched.

Well, I've missed posting on a few days, but I've still thought of things.  It's just taking time to get them written.  Each day I will write three gratitudes and to journal/write about one positive experience from the day.  The gratitudes can be trivial or deep.  And even on the toughest of days there is at least ONE thing that is positive or goes well.

Gratitude: thankfulness, gratefulness or appreciation;
a feeling or attitude in recognition of a benefit that someone has received.

The goal is to retrain your brain to begin to look for the positives instead of the negatives.

Three Gratitudes:
61. I am grateful for warm food on a cold night.

62. I am thankful for a free Netflix trial during my Winter Break.  It's especially useful on days when you feel like you just want to lounge around.

63. I appreciate time alone, and the people who recognize when  it's time to give it to you.

64. I'm thankful for good friends.

65. I appreciate the people who work over the holidays so the rest of us can go shopping, get groceries, get gas for our trips, etc.

66. I am grateful that I took the time to participate in this challenge.  And while I'm not sure that my brain has been retrained I do know that the habit of trying to find the good is one that I'm going to keep working at.

I am grateful.

One Positive From The Last 24 Hours:
I was able to get all the work done that I needed to over break.  Even if I didn't want to.

So, ends the Happy Secret Challenge!
I hope you had a wonderful holiday season.
