Happy Secret Challenge: Day 5

I am creating/participating in a Happy Secret Challenge inspired by a TED video I recently watched.

My goal for the next 21 days is to write three gratitudes and to journal about one positive experience from the day.  The gratitudes can be trivial or deep.  And even on the toughest of days there is at least ONE thing that is positive or goes well.

Gratitude: thankfulness, gratefulness or appreciation;
a feeling or attitude in recognition of a benefit that someone has received.

The goal is to retrain your brain to begin to look for the positives instead of the negatives.  There are other pieces to the challenge as well but for today we start with these two:

Three Gratitudes:
13. I am appreciative of the many talented songwriters that grace millions of people around the world with their words, their stories, their lessons learned or their chances missed that are all strung together like lightbulbs on a Christmas tree.

14. I am grateful for the people in my building that I can walk up to and simply say "I need a laugh," and they provide.  No questions asked.  It is a gift that these people share, bringing moments of levity into sometimes heavy, long, dreary days.

15. I am thankful for the bloggers who can weave together posts which such honesty, such beauty, such inspiration, such awesomeness.

I am grateful.

One Positive From The Last 24 Hours:
I almost spun out and drove up onto a curb while running errands today... but I didn't!
