Happy Secret Challenge: Day Four

I am creating/participating in a Happy Secret Challenge inspired by a TED video I recently watched.

My goal for the next 21 days is to write three gratitudes and to journal about one positive experience from the day.  The gratitudes can be trivial or deep.  And even on the toughest of days there is at least ONE thing that is positive or goes well.

Gratitude: thankfulness, gratefulness or appreciation;
a feeling or attitude in recognition of a benefit that someone has received.

The goal is to retrain your brain to begin to look for the positives instead of the negatives.  There are other pieces to the challenge as well but for today we start with these two:

Three Gratitudes:
10. I am grateful for the snow plows and the men and women that work late into the night, or early in the morning to help clear some of the snow from the weekend storm.
11. I am thankful that I took the time to apologize to a student today after jumping to a conclusion to quickly.
12. I appreciate all the people who take the time to slow down while they drive after a storm, when the roads aren't plowed the best, or they are icy.  Thank you!

I am grateful.

One Positive From The Last 24 Hours:
I had a good meeting with my content mentor where I felt heard and supported for the first time this year.  It was great to hear her opinion, have her go to bat for me, but leave me room to still be me.
