Happy Secret Challenge: Day Two

I am creating/participating in a Happy Secret Challenge inspired by a TED video I recently watched.

My goal for the next 21 days is to write three gratitudes and to journal about one positive experience from the day.  The gratitudes can be trivial or deep.  And even on the toughest of days there is at least ONE thing that is positive or goes well.

Gratitude: thankfulness, gratefulness or appreciation;
a feeling or attitude in recognition of a benefit that someone has received.

The goal is to retrain your brain to begin to look for the positives instead of the negatives.  There are other pieces to the challenge as well but for today we start with these two:

Three Gratitudes:
4. I am thankful for peppermint marshmallows in a fresh cup of cocoa.
5. I am grateful for the dancing flames in a fireplace, even if it's a gas one. :)
6. I am grateful for my laptop where I can type these words, communicate with friends and family,  search the web for inspiration and create lessons for work.

I am grateful.

One Positive From The Last 24 Hours:
Sometimes winter is rough.  There isn't a lot of daylight hours, but there manage to be a lot of cloudy days.  So today the sunshine was a welcome sight!
